A view of the Gaugamela plain near the village of Tall Jumal. In 331 BC, a famous battle broke out here between Alexander the Great and the army of King Darius III. We were here with the archaeologist Nazim Zebari, who revealed to us that they had recently found three cannonballs here. Today - a playground.
